ENGLISH

The idea to start the Agape Fellowship came from three main reasons.

The United States of America welcomes refugees and immigrants from all over the world. When these people come, they face great problems that include losing properties, people and their country lands. This causes them great confusion. Spiritually they need a word that can heal the wounds caused by the problems they went through.

What's more, when they arrive here, they find themselves in an unfamiliar world and a different culture.

The members of Agape Fellowship are from the African country called Democratic Republic of Congo. Majority of them cannot understand the language spoken in this country of the United States of America. So Agape Fellowship came into being to help them teach them the word of God in a language they can understand.

For the adults, it is difficult to follow God's word in English, but for young children who go to school in the future, they will be in charge of the Church and lead it in the culture of the United States of America because they will be speaking the English language.

After having that idea, we officially launched our Ministry in the second month of 2019. Since many people who are members of Agape Fellowship are Methodists from Africa, it was necessary for them to join the Church. The Free Methodist Church gave us a place of worship, which is the building of the former First Free Methodist Church.
